Abstract

MUH.ARY WARDHANA, Handling cargo with lashing on the ship RORO MV.SULAWESI LEADER. Guided by Captain Irfan Faozan.M.M and Captain Bruce Rumangkang.,M.Si. On Ro-Ro vessels, loading safety by lashing (Lashing securing) is essenƟal in order to avoid damage to road vehicle cargo due to shiŌs especially during bad weather. Therefore, the ABK who is engaged in loading security of road vehicles must understand the IMO ResoluƟon A.581 (14) – Guidelines for the safety setup for road vehicle transportaƟon on ro-ro vessel. The conclusion is the lack of understanding by the crew of the vessel about the safety seƫng guidelines of cargo for road vehicles transport on ro -ro vessel. So the author suggests the need to give guidance to the ro - ro vessel crew so that they beƩer understand how to set up the safety of road vehicle properly so that there is no loading loading damage and collision between cargo and other cargo or cargo with the wall of the ship
