Abstract

MUHAMMAD ASRIL, “ISPS Code Implementation In Logindo Progress ”,(supervised by Capt. Endang Lestari and Nurwahidah ). The International Ship and Port Security Code (ISPS Code) is an IMO (International Maritime Organization) regulation that specifically regulates activities and steps that mustbe taken by each country in tackling the threat of terrorism at sea. The implementation of the ISPS Code on board the ship is in fact not carried out in accordance with the rulesset out in the ISPS Code regarding ship safety. The purpose of this study was to find out what obstacles were encountered in the implementation of the ISPS Code so that it did not run well and did not comply with the applicable rules. T`his research w`as carried ou`t when th`e authors carrie`d out sea practice (Pr`ala) on th`e LOGINDO PROGRESS belo`ngs to th`e company P`T. LOGINDO SAMUDRAMAKMUR.Tbk f`or 12 month`s, from February 3, 2022 to March 10, 2022. Bas`ed on th`e data obt`ained, a qu`alitative descriptive a`nalysis method is us`ed, na`mely analyzing th`e findings i`n the fiel`d with mea`suring tools i`n the for`m of theo`ries that are rel`evant to the prob`lem being studied. S`o that t`he cause o`f the pr`oblem is fou`nd. Th`e result i`s Supervision of ISPS CODE aboard the LOGINDO PROGRESS from SSO (ship Security Officer) is still lacking so thatthe implementation of ISPS CODE does not run according to the rules. All activities related to issues in the Ship Security Plan (SSP) are not carried out effectively due to lack of discipline and the indifference of the officers and crew members (ABK) in carryingout their duties in the implementation of ISPS CODE. keywords: ISPS CODE, SSP, IMO
