Abstract

ADE ROY TRI ADNAN, 2021, "ANALYSIS OF DECREASING PRESSURE ON THE COMPRESSOR ON THE SHIP KM.ASIA PUTRA", (supervised by Muhammad Ivan, and Ir. Laode Musa). The main engine is an aircraft that has a very important role on the ship to support the operation of the ship, so that the ship can operate properly. In supporting the performance of the main engine, there are several systems in it and one of them is the compressor air pressure. In connection with the very important function of the air compressor on board the ship, the air compressor requires special attention in carrying out routine maintenance, so that this air compressor can be used according to its function on the ship because the ship is required to be in top condition and on time. KM.ASIA PUTRA for nine months and five days, from November 7, 2019 to August 12, 2020. The source of the data obtained is primary data obtained directly from the research site by means of direct observation and interviews with the Head of the Engine Room (KKM) and other crew members. especially the crew of the engine parts. Secondary data is data obtained from documents related to this research. The results obtained from this study indicate that the lack of maintenance on the valves at high and low pressure suction & discharge, so that the air that is accommodated in the compressor vessel is not maximal.
