Abstract

Rising Analysis of Lubricating Oil Temperature Of The Main Engine on MV. MORABAYA 3. (supervised by Budi Joko Raharjo and Muhammad Ivan). It is important, because recantly mount main propultion engine got damage or failure operation which is caused among human error and careless due to restraint of lubrication system performance which should be maintained and kept from normally operation. Lubrication system has many equipments to support the operation in the system, among equipment in lubricating system should be known that every equipment very influential due to low and high temperature or pressure of the lubrication oil. These research only observe the mechanical part among heat exchanger, pumps, and minnor losses, three of them are often cause a temperatur increasing of lubricating oil and it is approved. In accordence with various result of above observation that is neccessary to be understood that both problem and impact is happened such as heat exchanger which experinces some rust formation in the cappilary tubes untill heat exchanger is not normally working, fluid circulation device (pumps) which sea water pump pressure declines that is caused by lack one of components of the se water pump untill sea water circulation for cooling lubricating oil is ineffective, now minnor losses is too high in lubrication system. These research is conducted in 1 months (Sept 2020 until Des 2020) on MV. MORABAYA 3 that one of Winning Ship Company. Data that used in this research is primer data took from on board direct observation, library study and other supporting or related document. By this research shows that increasing of lubrication oil temperature is caused by lack of heat transfer, pressure lowering of pump and highly minnor losses.
