Abstract

MUH ASDAR PATTA, 2021, “Analysis of crew understanding in applying Implementation of STCW 1995 Amendment 2010 Chapter VIII to Watch keeping” ( guided by Tri Iriani Eka Wahyuni and Abdoellah Djabier ). The purpose of the study was to determine the fulfillment of the provisions of Chapter VIII of the 2010 STCW Amendment in the implementation of the guard service. The method used is descriptive quantitative method, Interview. Interviews as a data collection tool require direct communication between research and research facilities. In this case, the author conducted interviews with the captain, officer 1, 2, 3 and AB who did guard duty on the ship. This research was conducted at the company PT. BAHARI JAYA ABADI on the ship KM. DJO NO. 02. The author concludes that the implementation of the guard service on the ship KM. DJO NO 02 there is still one of the ship's crew who still do not understand in carrying out the guard service, including the AB who still do not understand clearly about the implementation of the guard service on board the ship in accordance with the 1995 STCW amendment 2010 chapter viii concerning watch keeping.
