HADI SETIAWAN, MT., M.Mar and MASRUPAH, S.Si.T.,M.Adm.S.D.A ) The Garbage management plan is a step in the disposal of rubbish on board. Each vessel cannot be avoided from the presence of garbage where the waste itself will increase continuously, so to avoid this, the waste must be disposed of. Problems arising when the waste is not properly handled before disposal will cause contamination. The purpose of this research is to know the level of conformity of waste disposal handling procedure as required in Marpol 1973/1978 Annex V. Sources of data obtained by collecting secondary and primary data in the form of data analysis, interviews, observations and methods of quisioner on the procedure of handling garbage on the ship. In data processing using Qualitative Descriptive method. The findings from the study that the Gerbage management plan required Marpol 1973/1978 Annex V, Garbage Management Plan implementation has not been implemented in the waste disposal stage, where the observation results show that plastic waste is found discarded seafront, it needs to be socialized about the disposal of plastic waste can't be thrown out of the sea.
