Abstract
CHAERUL AZNAR, "Analysis of Procedures for Entering Enclosed Spaces on the KM SK 3". Supervised by Rudy Susanto as supervisor I and Mursalim as supervisor II A closed space is a limited space that does not have continuous air ventilation so that the air in the room is dangerous and toxic for human safety. This is due to the high concentration of hydrocarbon gas, toxic gas and the lack of oxygen contained in the room. All ships definitely have closed spaces, one of the closed spaces on a ship is the ballast tank. The ballast tank is an important part of the ship, the ballast tank contains water and is useful for balancing the stability of the ship both when it has cargo and when it does not. The research method of this thesis is a qualitative descriptive method, where the data sources are obtained from primary data and secondary data. This data collection technique was carried out by direct observation (observation), interviews with respondents on the KM SK 3 ship and also literature study The results obtained from this research are procedures when entering a closed space. In this case, procedures need to be improved and implemented as well as possible before entering a closed space to increase safety when entering a closed space and understand the dangers that exist around in order to achieve safety goals. Keywords: Enclosed Space, Ballast Tank, KM SK3.
